Papé, inspired by his late grandfather’s philosophy of generosity throughout his successful entrepreneurial career, decided these morals of combining business and philanthropy will be the foundation of MiiR.

Grant Recipients and Partners
MiiR’s philosophy is coupled with a dedicated Impact team who works closely with employees, communities, mission-aligned brands and existing grantees. The Impact team identifies non-profit initiatives in line with MiiR’s endeavour for long-lasting positive impact on our planet and its people. As of 2022, MiiR’s give-back mission has generously given over $3.8 million to over 200 organisations, in over 26 countries
One grant recipient that has benefited from MiiR’s generosity is Bean Voyage, which was provided with a 1-year grant of $20,000, to support poverty-affected coffee farming communities by increasing access to finance, training and international markets.
MiiR is also a proud partner with Ecotrust, a climate-smart and community driven company implementing economical practices from the farm to the forest and the city. Partners since 2019, MiiR and Ecotrust have engaged in 35 projects from Alaska to California, injecting a total of $85,000 across 2 grant projects. MiiR’s contribution consisted of $35,000.
Another gratified partnership is with a Seattle based nonprofit enterprise called Splash. Splash provides clean water, sanitisation stations and toilet facilities for children across Asia and Africa. MiiR and Splash have implemented these facilities in addition to hygiene education and child friendly amenities improvements in 13 public schools in Kathmandu, Nepal. MiiR & Splash achieved $40,000 worth of grants over 9 schools benefiting 1200 students in 2016 and a $15,000 grant benefitting 4 schools and 354 students in 2017, totalling $55,000 given and 1500 lives impacted.
Paying homage to MiiR’s conscious values, the range of drinkware colour names were all inspired by people, places and the giving projects MiiR have participated in. “The world is full of colour, and we're telling stories about them. - Spark: An electric shock of originality inspired by the kinetic youth of Kolkata, India.
- Prismatic: Celebrating the stunning depths of Yellowstone’s Grand Prismatic Spring.
- Thousand Hills: A tribute to Rwanda, a small but mighty country in the heart of Africa.
- Evergreen: Inspired by their Evergreen certification.
- Sandstone White: Inspired by their work with the Oregon Natural Desert Association.
- Tidal Blue: Inspired by their work with the aforementioned Ecotrust.
