In the spirit of community involvement and support, at the end of April, our support went to a local community organization, Youth Express.
Youth Express support 60+ young people at risk of disengaging from school. Based in Maitland, they were formed in 1993 and their vision is to empower young people to successfully engage in their education, community and work. Youth Express facilitates workshops around topics like health, nutrition, employability skills like writing resumes, exercise, personal growth, personal safety and goal setting.
We showed our support by donating over $2,000 in supplies which included backpacks, personal hygiene care products, electronics and cinema vouchers.
The donated items will support student-of-the-week recognition awards, end-of-program awards and resource youth homeless packs.
Our wonderful Megan visited the Youth Express team in Maitland and delivered these to them and they were received with much appreciation and gratitude. The team at Youth Express let us know that having these donations delivered to them was a huge help in time and resources.
Bombora is proud and committed to giving back to our community and we were so pleased to make a contribution to such a wonderful organization.
