Water Testing with Bombora

With summer just around the corner and Spring already starting to warm up our days, the consumption of coffee and water within our industry increases dramatically. Right now, is the perfect time to check the quality of your incoming water source and the water being produced out of your water filtration system to ensure that it is providing the best possible water quality to your coffee machine.

The quick and simple action of water testing is often overlooked, though It is absolutely critical in extracting the best flavour characteristics from your coffee. Testing and maintaining your water quality level to the manufacturer’s specifications will also ensure that you are adequately protecting your coffee machine from potentially damaging elements such as chloride and scale.

What do we need from you?

  • We require a sample of 300ml water to be provided in a clean sample bottle. It is best to use an existing water bottle as any residue from previous liquids such as juices and cola can throw off results.
  • Your contact details, including address, phone number and email.
  • The water sources site location and how the water is intended to be used, i.e. coffee machine, drinking water or ice machine.

We test for the following water quality parameters:

Chloride

Total Hardness

Calcium

PH

Magnesium

Total Alkalinity

TDS

Turbidity
